This dark depressing photo was taken at Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast, Northern Ireland. This is the subterranean tunnel that runs underneath the Crumlin Road between the old Gaol and Courthouse, it was used to move prisoners from custody to sentencing and back for execution at the gallows.
